Welcome to the Number One Swim Club in Australia - St Peters Western Swimming Club.
The Go Club Award was presented to coach Michael Bohl at the annual Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA) Convention on the Gold Coast in May this year 2007. This award is based on the cumulative points gathered at four events:
- Telstra Australian Short Course Titles
- Telstra Australian Swimming Championships
- Swimming Australia Open Water Champs
- 2007 Australian Age Championships
The St Peters Western Swimming Club has been based at St Peters Lutheran College for many years. The club is not exclusively for students of the College, but is also for swimmers from the wider community who can be part of this exciting club.
Michael Bohl is the Head Coach, being formerly Queensland Director of Coaching for 11 years. During his time with Queensland Swimming, Michael has been an Olympic coach for Glen Housman (Olympic medallist), Nicholas Sprenger (second, 4 x 200m Freestyle relay at Athens) and Maxine Seear (Triathlon, Athens).

Other open water swimmers achieving at high levels are Trudee Hutchinson and David Browne.
Another swimmer making a ripple on the world scene is Stephanie Rice. Stephanie achieved two gold medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and two bronze medals at the recent 2007 FINA World Titles.
