21/10/09: St Peters Western Friday Night Swim Club - St Peters Western Friday Night Swim Club kicked off with a big splash on Friday 9th October. We had 37 swimmers dive in to a very comfortable 28 degree pool. Despite the shivers of the outside temperature there was plenty of bbq food to warm them up. This week children raced in 25m free, back, breast and fly, with a 50m preferred stroke race. Each swimmer received their times and these will be available for viewing on our system. It was great to see so many Prep students have a go. A huge thank you to all those parents who volunteered with time keeping and the bbq, without your help the evening would not have run so smoothly.
Club Night runs every Friday Night in Term 1 & 4. The cost is $45 per swimmer for the season which covers insurance. The Club night will operate from the 50m pool in Term 4. The pool is heated. Swimmers are only required to swim 25m. Club Night is open to any age and ability. A trial night is on offer before committing. All families are welcome to the Club; you do not have to be a St Peters student to join. St Peters Western Swim Club
Club Night begins Friday 9th October
Club night will start every Friday night in term 1 and term 4 on a weekly basis. It will run for 7 weeks in term 1 and 4.
Swim club is open to all, with no age limit or physical requirements. It promotes self improvement through regular fun competition for swimmers and a good social evening for all. It will run with the help of volunteers and junior swimmers. It is a very enjoyable family evening.
Swimmers will start with 25m races and once fast enough will progress to 50m races. Club night is for children with all different abilities.
Venue: St Peters pool
When: Term 4 and Term 1
First night in Term 4: 9th October 2009
Time: 6:30 pm start – 8:00 pm finish (depending on numbers)
